Deepening cooperation for mutual success: eve energy chairman visits malaysia's ministry of international trade and industry

Recently, Dr. Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy, visited Malaysia and met with Tengku Zafrul Aziz, Minister of MITI, and Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim bin Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA. Topics such as advancing project progress and deepening future cooperation were discussed.

Project Details

EVE Energy's Malaysia factory, the 53rd factory, is building an "International Cylindrical Battery Industrial Park" with an investment of up to $422.3 million, located in Kulim, Kedah. It will create over 600 local jobs upon completion.

Dr. Liu Jincheng expressed gratitude for the support from the Malaysian government, MITI, and MIDA. He introduced EVE Energy's global presence, highlighting 58 factories worldwide producing a wide range of products, from consumer batteries to electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems. He emphasized the goal of creating a benchmark project in Malaysia to serve the global market with green energy from lithium batteries.

Continuous Cooperation and Development

EVE Energy has been deepening its cooperation with Malaysia in the new energy field since selecting Malaysia as the first stop for its global strategy in 2022, establishing EVE Energy Malaysia Co., Ltd., and purchasing land for the 53rd factory. In January this year, EVE Energy Malaysia Energy Storage Co., Ltd. was established, starting the construction of an energy storage factory.

The Malaysia factory's construction is progressing smoothly, with the main structure almost completed. It has obtained a manufacturing license for cylindrical lithium-ion batteries and is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of this year. The factory will continue to uphold technological innovation, leverage advanced manufacturing advantages, and operational experience, accelerating the global expansion and contributing to the green energy transition in Southeast Asia and worldwide.
